This is it! She went from almost being the first houseguest evicted on “Big Brother” season 24 to being in the final three at tonight’s finale night where she will try to make “BB” history.

UPDATE: Who won “Big Brother” season 24: Taylor or Monte?

West Bloomfield’s Taylor Hale, the 2021 Miss Michigan USA champion, is not only going for the $750,000 grand prize, but if she wins, she would make “Big Brother” history by becoming the first Black woman to win the hit CBS reality competition.

In the show’s more than 20 year history, only one other Black houseguest has won the show. That happened last year on season 23 when Kalamazoo native, Xavier Prather, won the grand prize.

It didn’t look like Taylor would last long on the show when it debuted on July 6 with 16 houseguests. A misunderstanding with some of her fellow houseguests led her to becoming one of the two houseguests nominated for eviction after the Power of Veto was used to save one of the original nominees.

Her fellow houseguests would most likely have voted her out had it not been for Paloma Aguilar leaving the game for “personal reasons.”

Hale would soon join a strong seven-person alliance called “The Leftovers.” They proceeded to dominate the game in the weeks ahead until a twist separated them leading to new alliances.

It’s now down the final three with Hale, Monte Taylor and Matthew “Turner” Turner. The winner of the finale and three-part Head of Household competition will decide which houseguest they will take to the final two with them.

Those two will then state their cases as to why they believe they should win the $750,000 to a jury of their former houseguests. The jury members will each get one vote for the winner. Whomever gets the most votes takes home the grand prize. Second place gets $75,000 and a America will vote to give a third houseguest $50,000 and a cruise.

“I’ve gone from thinking I was going home week one to having a real chance at sitting in one of those final two chairs and winning the whole thing,” Hale said on Friday’s episode. “And now that I’ve come this far, I am going to change this game. I am going to make history and I’m going to make sure there’s a Black woman sitting in one of those final two chairs and ultimately winning it.”

The two-hour finale airs on CBS on Sunday, September 25th at 8:00 p.m. ET.
