Fifth Consecutive Clean Sheet for Men’s Soccer

SAN ANTONIO – It has now been 465 consecutive minutes since an opponent scored on the St. Mary's Men's Soccer Team as they battled to a scoreless draw on Saturday night against Texas A&M International in a non-conference game.

The Rattlers (3-0-4) have now shut down five straight offenses, establishing a new school record for consecutive shutouts, breaking the mark of four by the 2002 squad.

St. Mary's dominated time of possession (65%) and shots against the Dust Devils (2-3-4) on Saturday, getting 18 shots and limiting TAMIU to one. Senior Deni Cresto (Curitiba, Parana, Brazil) had all three of the team's shots on goal and the team had eight corner kicks, compared to one.

The Rattlers host UT Permian Basin on Wednesday in the final non-conference contest of the season and begin Lone Star Conference play on Saturday against Eastern New Mexico. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
