Netflix has finally confirmed a release date for the fifth season of The Crown with a promotional poster.
Released as part of Netflix's TUDUM event, the new poster teases the release date with very little else. According to the poster, the long-awaited fifth season of The Crown will premiere on November 9, 2022.
Teasing a tense season 5, the minimal poster shows the edge of a gilded picture frame on a cracked wall suggesting that cracks are starting to appear for the famous family.

During the TUDUM showcase event, fans and press were also treated to an exclusive first-look teaser trailer.
The trailer provided a glimpse of new stars Elizabeth Debicki as Diana, Princess of Wales and Dominic West as Prince Charles (now King Charles III).
West and Debicki, who took over the roles from Josh O'Connor and Emma Corrin, are set to star as Charles and Diana for season 5 and 6 where the series will end for good.
Dominic West previously spoke about playing the now King saying: "I love the man. He's a force for good, he really is an extraordinary man."

Imelda Staunton will take over the role of Queen Elizabeth II, while Lesley Manville is set to star as Princess Margaret and Jonathan Pryce will feature as Prince Philip.
As part of their TUDUM showcase, Netflix also released a video of Imelda Staunton giving her "first Royal address", where she praised her predecessors Claire Foy and Olivia Colman.
"I'm delighted to be inheriting the role of Queen Elizabeth from two outstanding actresses," Staunton said. "I will do my upmost to maintain the very high standard that they set. Hopefully I look calm, collected and capable. My stomach, meanwhile, is doing somersaults."
The Crown season 5 will premiere in November 2022, while seasons 1-4 are now streaming on Netflix. Seasons 1-3 are also available on DVD and Blu-ray.
