The city of Beardstown hosts many different events throughout the year, but there is one the community looks forward to the most.

This weekend the city is celebrating its annual Fall Fun Festival in its downtown area.

Saturday brought many different events to the community including a 5k run that took place early Saturday morning followed by a parade with more than 100 different floats, vehicles and acts.

Other events were the crowning of the 2022 Miss Fall Fun Festival, a hypnosis show, bands and the night ended with wrestling matches hosted by the Pinfall Wrestling Association.

"You get a bunch of people who grew up here and they all come back," said Beardstown Fall Fun Festival Chairman, Tom Schlueter. "Our diversity is our greatest asset, I, mean we have 30 nationalities that live here in Beardstown and we all celebrate as one."

The event continued on Sunday with more live music, craft and food vendors and a car show,
