Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Cicero-North Syracuse marching band won its third show in as many tries this season by taking the top spot Saturday night at a competition at Baldwinsville.
The Northstars earned 83.9 points to win the National Division, ahead of West Genesee (82.2) and Liverpool (81.3). Host Baldwinsville put on an exhibition performance but did not compete.
East Irondequoit took the small school 1 class with 79 points, ahead of Central Square (74.1) and East Syracuse Minoa (72.35).

In the small school 2 class, Phoenix edged Norwich 75.3-71.05. In large school 3, Auburn (61.7) finished runner-up to Greece (72.35). Jordan-Elbridge was the only band competing in the small school 3 class, posting a score of 66.4.
At a show in New Hartford, the host Spartans won small school 1 over Oswego 80.45-73.0 and Westmoreland earned the small school 2 crown with 75.3 points. Rome Free Academy (66.75) was the only school competing in the large school 3 class.
