Boomer Radio holds first-ever 'Boomstock Festival' in Aksarben
BOOMER RADIO HOLDS THEIR FIRST BOOM STOCK FESTIVAL THIS EVENING. THE FESTIVAL IN EXURBAN STARTED AT FIVE WITH A PERFORMANCE FROM TOUCH OF GRACE AND PET ROCK. THE NIGHT IS A TRIBUTE TO MUSIC OF THE SIXTIES AND SEVENTIES, AND ALL THE PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE OPEN DOOR MISSION AND THE NEBRASKA HUMANE SOCIETY. WE ARE SO VERY EXCITED TO BE BENEFITING LOCAL CHARITIES HERE IN TOWN AND WE WORK A LOT WITH THE OPEN DOOR MISSION AS WELL AS THE NEBRASKA HUMANE SOCIETY, AND WE’RE REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO GIVE BACK AS AS THEY’VE HELPED US THROUGH A LOT OF THINGS. TONIGHT’S EVENT WAS SCHEDULED TO END AROUND TEN

Boomer Radio held their first Boomstock Festival Saturday night.The festival in Aksarben started at 5 p.m. with a performance from Touch of Grace and Pet Rock.Tonight was a tribute to sixties and seventies music.All of the proceeds will go to the Open Door Mission and the Nebraska Humane Society."We are so very excited to be benefitting local charities here in town, and we work a lot with the Open Door Mission as well as the Nebraska Humane Society — we're really looking forward to give back as they've helped us through a lot of things," Addy Combs, an organizer of the event, said.Saturday's event was scheduled to end around 10, and the event organizers are already planning next year's festival.
