A violent weekend in the city of New Orleans continues as the NOPD investigates the city's fourth shooting in 24 hours.

The latest happened around 6:50 p.m. in St. Roch.

According to an NOPD spokesman, officers responded to a call near the intersection of Mandeville Street and North Tonti Street. The spokesman says one man was wounded in that shooting.

The spokesman said he had no other details about the shooting.

Six hours earlier, the NOPD responded to a shooting that happened about a mile away from the latest. That shooting took place around 1 p.m. near the intersection of North Rocheblave and New Orleans Streets. The spokesman says a male victim in that case took himself to the hospital for treatment.

An overnight shooting in Carrollton left three people dead. Another shooting on Franklin Avenue left one man wounded. A suspect in the Franklin Avenue case is in custody.
