On Saturday morning, dozens of mail trucks, USPS employees, friends, and family gathered to take part in a procession that celebrated the life of a man who spent 41 years as a beloved mail carrier in Bel Air.
Mail Carrier, Tom Pfaf who recently lost his life is described by his coworkers as giving, funny, and hard-working.
The ones who know him best say he always was kind and that the customers he serviced mail to didn't complain - a rarity in the postal service world.
"He was awesome," said Robert Robinson the acting postmaster of Bel Air's postal service location. " He always had a smile or a joke ... he was excited all of the time."
Robinson says he knew Pfaf for the past 38 years.
"Tom was a very generous person, a deeply good heart guy... he would give the shirt off his back if that was the last shirt he had." Explained letter carrier, Dean Mayer, Pfaf's coworker since 2016.
A representative of the family says that nearly 50 mail trucks lined up to honor the life and legacy of the Pfaf who was well-known in the Bel Air community.
