The South Dakota Coyotes fell to the #1 North Dakota State Bison 34-17 on Saturday, Sept. 24th.
USD would open up the scoring in the first quarter, courtesy of an 18-yard field goal from Eddie Ogamba for the only points of the opening quarter.
NDSU would take the lead 10-3 with seven-and-a-half minutes to go in the half.
With under one minute to go in the first half, Travis Theis found pay dirt for the first Yotes TD of the game.
On the first play for the Bison on their next drive, Dennis Shorter jarred the ball loose and Josiah Ganues scooped it up to give the Yotes the ball back.
Just one play after that, Carson Camp hit Wesley Eliodor for a 28-yard TD and the Coyotes, after scoring two touchdowns within 15 seconds of game time, went into the locker room leading 17-10.
NDSU would put up 24 points and shut out the Yotes in the second half to avoid the upset and win by a final of 34-17.
