Cyrus Pattinson was scheduled for his first career ten-round fight but only needed six to post his latest win.

The former amateur standout and current welterweight prospect offered his most complete performance to date in a sixth-round knockout of France’s Jorick Luisetto. Pattison sent Luisetto to the canvas twice, the latter producing an immediate stoppage at 1:59 of the sixth round in the opening bout of a five-fight DAZN show Saturday evening at Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England.

Pattinson was steady and effective in his body attack, repeatedly landing his right hook the inviting frame of Luisetto in their battle of southpaws. Luisetto sought a home for his own right hook upstairs, often coming up short as Pattinson offered constant in and out movement to avoid the incoming.

A clash of heads left Luisetto with a cut high atop the right side of his scalp in round four. The sequence was an outlier in an otherwise relatively clean fight. Pattinson boxed from angles in round five, continuing to hit the body and jarring Luisetto with a straight left hand over the top of the Frenchman’s guard.

Pattinson (5-0, 3KOs) went right hook heavy in round six, to which Luisetto never recovered. The unbeaten Englishman connected with the weapon upstairs and to the body, along with a left hand upstairs as the visiting Frenchman crashed to the canvas. A follow up sequence had Luisetto out on his feet, eventually hitting the deck as referee Bob Williams waved off the contest.

Headlining the show, Maxi Hughes (25-5-2, 5KOs) defends his IBO lightweight title against former IBF featherweight titlist Kid Galahad (28-2, 17KOs), who moves up in weight. Also on the show, WBA/IBO junior middleweight titlist Hannah Rankin (12-5, 3KOs) defends her crown against former WBC/IBO junior lightweight champ Terri Harper (12-1-1, 6KOs), who moves up three divisions after only recently campaigning at lightweight.
