Less than an hour later, officers responded to another shooting in the 1700 block of N. Lawrence, near 17th and Woodlawn. A man in his 40s was shot while standing near his vehicle. A neighbor reported hearing two gunshots and a car speeding away. The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
