HMS football teams face Watertown

HURON — Watertown won a pair of games against the Huron eighth-grade football team on Tuesday.

The Arrows emerged with a 20-8 win in the A-game.

Anderson Porisch scored for Huron on a 4-yard run and then added the conversion on a run.

Ty Kleinsasser led the Tigers with 31 yards rushing, while James Shoultz had 18 yards receiving.

Defensively, Cordin Caudell had five tackles for Huron, while Jeremy Hofer had four tackles and Elliot Hartman had three tackles.

Watertown won the B-game 12-2.

Lucas Chaparro-Harms had seven tackles and a fumble recovery for the Tigers. He also had a sack, which resulted in safety.

Mason Hunter had five tackles and a fumble recovery, while Diego Colon Rathjen had four tackles and Jante Parker had a fumble recovery.

Hofer led the Tigers with 51 yards rushing, while Aaron Lucio-Garcia had 27 yards rushing.

Huron travels to play Brookings on Tuesday.

Seventh-grade

WATERTOWN — Watertown won a pair of seventh-grade football games against Huron on Tuesday.

The Arrows cruised to a 40-6 win in the A-game.

Colt Culver had the lone touchdown for Huron on a pass from Myles Ellwein.

Watertown edged the Tigers 6-0 in the B-game.

Ian Larson led Huron in rushing from his quarterback position.

With 0-2 records for both teams, Huron will make its home debut against Brookings at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Tiger Stadium.
