ST. LOUIS — A woman was shot in South City early Saturday morning, police say. The woman was shot in the face near the intersection of Oregon and Itaska at 1 a.m.
Police responded to a call on Sept. 24 at the 2800 block of Itaska. Upon arrival, they observed a 21-year-old black female lying face down on Itaska. The victim had fatal injuries from gunshot wounds to her upper body.
EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased. The Homicide Division responded and assumed the ongoing investigation.
