Earlier this year, Dead & Company made headlines after a Rolling Stone article went viral, indicating that the group will stop touring after their scheduled dates in 2022. Even though it was debunked by the members of the band, it appears that it would happen in the future as announced by Bob Weir.
Taking to his official Twitter account, the famed songwriter shared an official poster of their show next year titled "The Final Tour."
The dates will be in the Summer of 2023 and fans should wait for further announcements regarding the official cities included in their tour.
"Well it looks like that's it for this outfit," Weir wrote, before revealing Dead & Company's future, writing, "don't worry we will all be out there in one form or another until we drop."
Dead & Company Final Tour Rumors
Earlier this year, an article made rounds online where sources reportedly confirmed a circulating issue regarding Dead & Company.
The article alleged that the band will stop touring after their shows in 2022, but members, including Weir, immediately debunked the claims on social media.
"News to me..." the musician wrote while quote-retweeting the story.

The group also shared a joint statement, writing, "Dead & Company has made no official decision as to this being their final tour." (via Variety)
Over the past few months, there have been a few moments that hindered some members to perform like Bill Kreutzmann who failed to play on the band's second night at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The drummer later clarified that his condition wasn't related to COVID-19. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to play at the Playing in the Sand Festival in Mexico.
Dead & Company also canceled their performance at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, New York, last July 6 due to a medical emergency involving John Mayer's father.
As of this writing, they have no upcoming tour dates on their website except for their appearances at the Playing in the Sand Riviera Cancún on January 14 and January 17.
The group originally had three members formed in 2015 which includes Bob Weir, John Mayer, and Mickey Hart. Other members are Bill Kreutzmann, Jeff Chimnti, and Oteil Burbridge.
Regarding possible disbandment, Mayer debunked the claims in an interview, saying he's expecting the band to keep on going "indefinitely" even if they change members.
