Here are some bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers going into their Week 3 matchup against the New Orleans Saints at Bank of America Stadium.

Through the first two games of the season, the Carolina Panthers are one of seven teams still in search of their first win. With a five-point differential, Matt Rhule’s squad has been in each contest and needs to clean up some errors against a division opponent this Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in pursuit of salvaging their campaign.

The team currently has a nine-game losing streak, the longest in the NFL. Phil Snow’s defense is the only unit across the league not to force a turnover this season.

Sure, the New Orleans Saints are revamping with head coach Sean Peyton and quarterback Drew Brees no longer in the picture. But they still have a bevy of talented athletes and look set to make a strong push for the postseason once again despite this slight period of transition.

Giving the Panthers a little breathing room, the Saints may be without do-it-all running back Alvin Kamara and starting quarterback Jameis Winston due to injuries. Something to keep a close eye on as we approach Week 3.

Yet, the team’s wide receiving corps is dangerous, the defense is top-10 in the league, and divisional matchups tend to bring out the best in competition. So this represents a significant challenge for the Panthers – one in which they must perform.

As we look ahead to Sunday, here are four bold predictions for the matchup.
