3 arrested after deadly shooting outside Greenville Co. pool hall
GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said deputies have charged three suspects after a shooting that killed one person and injured two others outside a pool hall.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of World Cup Billiards on Sept. 23.
According to deputies, they responded to the call just after it was reported at 11:02 p.m. When they arrived, they discovered that three people had been shot.
The Coroner’s Office said one of the victims was being taken to hospital in someone’s personal car when it broke down on the way. He was pronounced dead at the location where the vehicle stopped.
The Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 23-year-old Treveion Diswan Lamarr Anderson. The other two victims were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries.
Deputies arrested 26-year-old Vondelta Ballenger, 31-year-old Felton Smith and 27-year-old Steven Currie in connection with the shooting. All three suspects are charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, criminal conspiracy, and assault and battery.
At least one of the suspects had a “longstanding grudge” against Anderson, according to deputies.
The other two victims who were shot were unrelated bystanders, deputies said. The two were shielding other passengers in their vehicle when they were shot.
Ballenger, Smith and Currie were all denied bond.
