Dodgers News: Albert Pujols Connects on Number 699 in LA

Number six ninty nine! Cardinals Hall of Famer and former Dodgers tío, Albert Pujols, connected on career home run 699 against Andrew Heaney — because of course he did — in the top of the third inning. It was a two-run bomb to give the Cardinals the early 2-0 lead.

The ball was hit 108 miles per hour off the bat and traveled an estimated 433 feet. Here’s what that shot looked like.

Of his 699 bombs, 12 came with the Dodgers last season.

Albert was always going to get to 700 at Dodger Stadium and step one was done early. Pujols has long been a Dodger killer over his career with 21 of his 699 bombs coming off LA over the years. Tonight was career game number 110 against the Dodgers.

Congrats to Albert and here’s to hoping the Dodgers pull out the win!

Before The Game

Before the game, Pujols addressed the crowd at Dodger Stadium offering up his love and appreciation for the fanbase and organization revitalizing his love for the game after being released from the Angels last spring.
