Jennerstown Speedway announced this week that it has cancelled its inaugural Fall Brawl event, which was scheduled to take place next weekend, October 1.
Officials say that the speedway's management team, as well as the Champion Racing Association, "mutually agreed" to the decision, citing a low expected entry list due to ongoing supply chain issues that have affected the drivers and their teams.
"It is the absolute last thing we wanted to do. We wanted the first Fall Brawl at Jennerstown to be a huge success but with all the obstacles teams currently face, we just don't see that it is possible to produce the scale of event we have hoped for," Jennerstown said in part in a statement posted to its social media pages.
Anyone who had purchased tickets to the event is asked to contact the Speedway Complex at (814) 703-8009.
According to the Speedway's website, the final races of the season will be held this coming Saturday, Sept. 24.
