How many accidents have to happen at this dangerous corner before either the county or state decides something must be done for people’s protection?

We are very familiar with this road, usually driving Marcellus Highway. Even though we would have the right of way, we slow significantly at this corner to mitigate any collision. It is way too easy for drivers on Marcellus Hwy to be going too fast to avoid an accident. It is also way too easy for Decatur Road drivers to totally miss the stop sign.

How many times must the folks who live at that corner be pressed into service as first responders, though they may not be?!

At the very least, rumble strips would be a start, on both Decatur Hwy AND Marcellus Hwy. Best case scenario might be a round-about. Costly? Yes. Can there be a price put on human lives and safety?
