The Greenwich Health Department has confirmed a Greenwich resident has tested positive for West Nile virus.
The individual is in their 80s and became ill at the end of August.
This is the fourth case in the state so far this year.
West Nile virus has been isolated this year in mosquitoes in 24 towns, including Greenwich.
