Van Leeuwen ice cream is opening in Greenwich Oct. 1st, and ice cream lovers all over CT are pumped. Located at 375 Greenwich Avenue, the store is the brand’s first suburban location. They will offer $1 scoops of all ice cream on opening day from noon to 4 p.m.

On Sunday, 10/2, 4 - 7pm Barcelona Wine Bar Fairfield is throwing a 13th Annual Asado on the Patio party to pair autumn barbecue flavors and dishes with wines in a communal social-hour soiree. Asado is the traditional technique-meets-social event of a barbecue in south American countries. Executive Chef Misha Ryklin is preparing and serving a four course “asado on the patio” barbecue under the stars featuring a four course dinner that includes freshly picked produce from the iconic garden out front and highlighting a family-style Argentine-inspired asado of grilled meats. The event also includes small-producer Argentine and Chilean wines selected by William Miller of Harry's Wine & Liquor Market and Barcelona Wine Bar’s Gretchen Thomas, who oversees the restaurant’s wine programs and will speak with guests about the wines, pairings, food and culture being celebrated. $90 for the asado, pairings, and patio party; also includes gratuity and taxes for the event.
