Michael Herman Vaughan, 70, of Wilson, NC passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. 

He was born in Halifax County on July 15, 1952 to the late Herman Otis Vaughan and Lucille Ann Tanner Vaughan and was preceded in death by his brother, Pat Vaughan, niece Sherry King and his brother-in-law, Earl Nowell. 

Michael is survived by his sisters, Barbara Nowell of Littleton, NC, Sandra Nowell of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Toni Hux and her husband, Bill of Darlington, NC; his nieces and nephews, Chris Wood and her husband, Ken, Bill Nowell and wife Lisa, Bobbie Sue Hux and her husband, Ken, Michelle Nowell, Tammy Pearson and her husband, Walley, Scott Nowell and his wife, Renee’, Michael Nowell and his wife, Lindsey, April Hughes and husband Kevin, Heather Joyner and her husband, Monroe, Josh Vaughan, Angie Hux, Stevie Hux  and Billy Hux. 

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 2pm with Rev. Randy Martin  officiating at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services. 

The family will receive friends after the service.
