MACON, Ga. (WGXA) -- Every weekday morning for the last three years, Maconites have woken up and had their coffee as Terell Bailey delivers the ABC 16 Morning News, as well as the local segments on The National Desk and Good Morning America.
For those of us here in the WGXA newsroom, his high energy and always playful spirit has helped us wake up and get the day off to a start in a great mood.
On Friday, Terell delivered his final newscast for WGXA before heading on to the next stop in his journey, which he can't share with us just yet. Rest assured, though, if you follow him on social media, you will find out very soon.
He has teased, though, that he's going to have to pack a coat.
That said, to Terell, it has been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to have worked with you over the past few years. We will miss your jokes, pranks, and ability to keep us all guessing on what you're gonna do next. Whatever it is, though, we know you will do it to the best of your ability.
From all of us at WGXA, the best of luck to you, and thank you for the years of much-needed levity.
