HURON — After an increase last week, the numbers dropped this past week, the lowest weekly new positive COVID-19 cases reported the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) since June 1.
The state reported 956 new positive cases this week, along with three new deaths and 997 new recovered cases. The state’s active cases dropped to 709.
The 956 new cases were the lowest since 653 were reported statewide by DOH on June 1.
Beadle County added 28 new positive cases and 38 new recovered cases. Active cases in the county dropped to 18.
In the Heartland Region, 43 new positive cases were added and 61 new recovered cases were added. The seven-county region saw active cases fall to 29.
