For fashion editors, there’s no seasonal task more emotionally fulfilling than prepping for the arrival of fall. (There’s a reason September issues are so hefty.) In an effort to expedite the process this time around—the clock really is ticking here—I tapped two of Who What Wear’s best fall dressers for tips on putting together a handful of outfit formulas that you can rely on all season long. And as expected, they didn’t disappoint. The six looks they’ve crafted revolve around some of the new season’s most trend-forward pieces, from a great pair of wide-leg jeans to the chunky loafers I’ve already added to my cart.

Read on to see the fall-ready ’fits editors Anneliese Dominguez and Judith Jones put together. Best of all, you can scoop them all up in one online shopping trip, care of Anthropologie, our go-to source for elevated yet effortless dressing all year long.

Jeans are the one item Anneliese turns to again and again no matter the season. "If you look in my closet, you’d be shocked at just how many pairs I have in there,” says the self-described denim devotee. "But look, can you blame me? There are so many different style options! This is my first pair of flared jeans from Good American, and I have to admit I’m a fan. Even though they’re denim, they feel a little dressier than my average pair of straight-legs, so I paired them with this silky Hutch Nyla Wrap Blouse for a perfect, elevated feel.”

Second is this very cool, very California look with a touch of retro appeal. "If you were to look up ‘Anneliese Dominguez’ in the dictionary, you’d probably find a photo of me in this ’fit, or at least some iteration of it,” Anneliese shares. "It’s classic yet perfectly on-trend, if I do say so myself. This season, my layer of choice has to be anything with a buttery-leather feel. I’m obsessed with blazers, motos, and bomber jackets alike. This one is exceptionally fun with its cool cedar hue. It adds that extra punch that a black or cream blazer wouldn’t.”

Last but not least comes this elevated look that just screams fall. "I’ve been really into chocolate brown this season, so I was so excited to find these Sam Edelman loafers,” Anneliese says. "Not only are they right on-trend with their chunky heel, but they’re also ultra comfortable. I styled them with these wide-leg, plaid pants and a fitted, sleeveless vest (both from Hutch). It’s one of those looks that feels put-together (blazers just do that, don’t they?) but, in reality, is really easy.”

Judith says this French girl–approved business-casual look fits her aesthetic to the T. "Denim is a must-have in my fall wardrobe, and I styled an of-the-moment wide-leg silhouette from Good American with a crisp white button-down, a chic camel jacket, and brown suede boots,” she explains. "I finished the look with a trending pearl and gold necklace, modern gold hoop earrings, and a soft leather tote—perfect for carrying around all my fall essentials. Overall, it’s classic, elevated, and so versatile for everything from work to evening drinks.”

This sophisticated, versatile look embodies a laid-back elegance that’s perfect for day or night. "It doesn’t get chicer than a beige blazer paired with black wide-leg trousers and sleek, black suede boots,” Judith says. "Bold gold earrings and a trendy woven shoulder bag finish the look.”

An all-black look is perfect for an evening out when you want to look casual but cool and feel like you’ve made the effort, Judith says. "I love a great pair of loafers, and this chunky pair feels trend-forward and fun,” she adds. "I styled them with a black miniskirt—an item I’ve been wearing a lot lately—a black cowl-neck top, and a trending leather jacket.”
