Joel Klatt is very excited to see how Ohio State does against Wisconsin in its B1G opener. He spoke about the game on his podcast ‘The Joel Klatt Show: A College Football Podcast’.

Klatt thinks that this will be a good test for the Ohio State offense, as Wisconsin is known for being dominant on the defensive side of the ball. He cited how the team did against Notre Dame. Even though the Buckeyes eventually won the game, it was a tough game for them.

“Here’s why I love this game,” said Klatt. “We know that Ohio State is gonna be great on offense, similar to Michigan. What we don’t know is how they’ll deal with a team that wants to go into a phone booth and slug it out. We saw how that played out against Notre Dame, and they only scored 21 points.”

Klatt sees this game as a “prove it” game for Ryan Day and his team. He thinks that Buckeyes fans will have some questions answered about just how good their team is on the offensive side of the ball.

“Now they go up against a Badgers team that you know is going to play great defense,” said Klatt. “So if you want to see exactly how good Ohio State’s offense is, this week is a prove it week for that offense.”

The Ohio State offense is averaging 565.3 total yards of offense per game this season, which is the best in the country at the moment.

Ohio State will be put to the test as it faces Wisconsin Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
