Fun Isn’t Just for Kids With Smitty’s GameLAB in Topsham

Ax throwing, bowling, arcade, virtual reality, AND awesome cocktails.

Smitty’s Cinema up in Topsham has been in business for seven years now. But it's about to get a whole lot more fun with the expansion and opening of Smitty’s GameLAB. It will be right next to the Cinema in the Topsham Fair Mall and open Friday, September 22 at 3 pm. The Grand Opening will be on Saturday, September 24 from 11 am until midnight.

The Grand Opening will include giveaways, drawings, and other fun prizes. Plus, the first 20 people through the door will get a free hour of axe throwing. The GameLAB will have sixty of today’s hottest arcade games, four state-of-the-art axe throwing lanes, and a thirty-two-foot bar featuring the best craft beer Maine has to offer, plus creative cocktails in 32-ounce beakers!

Plus the bar has a wall of 80-inch, 4K television screens. Even the Patriots would look good on that wall!

Smitty's owner and President, Milton Smith said in a press release,

It will be an entertainment center with something for everyone.

This is Smitty's second GameLAB. The one in Sanford, Maine is a huge success so they've got one under their belt. Based on the popularity of what's been successful in Sanford, Topsham's GameLAB will have all sorts of skill-based arcade gaming, like King Kong of Skull Island, axe lanes with laser-projected Lasertron targets, and some seriously cool bowling. And when you get hungry from all that fun, the menu has some great comfort food.

This place will make me forget all about the Sox's dismal year, the Patriots not starting off looking all that great...and don't even get me excited about those Celtics. Just pass me another chicken wing.
