John Stamos Says He’ll ‘Never Have’ A Friendship Like He Had With Bob Saget Again

John Stamos has been mourning since his close friend Bob Saget’s sudden demise early this year. The duo worked together on the set of Full House, where they played brother-inlaws who were bonded in grief by the death of the character Pam, Saget’s TV wife, and Stamos’s TV sister. After the series, the co-stars became very close friends. “To say we are like brothers is an understatement,” Saget wrote on Stamos’ birthday in 2021. “What I have to say here, is how damned lucky I am to have John in my life.”

However, the Never Too Young To Die star finds it hard to accept Bob’s death. In the wake of the comedian’s death at age 65, Stamos revealed his denial of the situation, “I’m not ready to accept that he’s gone — I’m not going to say goodbye yet, I’m going to imagine him out there, still on the road, doing what he loves with all his heart and humor.”

The Alice In Wonderland star recently detailed his friendship with the late veteran actor in an interview with Fox News at the Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine charity event. “It was a friendship that I’ll never have again. It was a friendship that I didn’t think I would have either; we were there for each other through happy times, sad times, weddings, divorces, funerals,” Stamos claimed.

He continued, “It’s going to be hard to go through the rest of this life without him, “I have embraced it, and I love it. I’m grateful for it.”

Also, the musician is trying his best to keep Bob’s memories alive, and he is doing that in the best way he knows how. During his performance with The Beach Boys at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, the 58-year-old entertainer sang a memorable song from Full House as photos of Saget were displayed on the screen.

Even in death, Stamos continues to honor and fight for Bob. Months back, the late comedy legend was not included in the Tony Awards, In Memoriam segment. The Wedding War star called the organizers out in an online post over the omission of his late friend. “Disappointed to hear that @bobsaget will be LEFT OUT of the In Memoriam segment tonight @TheTonyawards.” Stamos said, “Bob was brilliant in ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’ & ‘Hand to God. Come on @BroadwayLeague and @TheWing! Do the right thing! Bob loved Broadway and I know the community loved him.”
