Victim Killed While Walking On Oxon Hill Crosswalk Identified

Detectives have identified a Washington D.C. woman as the pedestrian in a fatal hit and run over the weekend in Oxon Hill, authorities say.

Brenda Hackett, 56, was killed after being struck while in a crosswalk on Indian Head Highway around 2:40 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 18, according to Prince George's County police.

Police believe that the striking vehicle is a 2014-2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee that will have damage to the passenger side front fender area, including a missing portion of the fender that houses the right fog lamp.
