Early voting is underway across Minnesota ahead of the general election.

Polls opened Friday morning, allowing voters to both register and fill out a ballot.

You can also request a mail-in ballot.

The first in line at the Minneapolis Early Voting Center on Hennepin Ave. was Conrad Zbikowski, who was also first in line for when early voting started for the primary election.

"I want to keep my title in Minneapolis as the first to vote early," he said. "It feels good, and it kind of celebrates voting, which is a good thing."

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th.

Minnesotans can register to vote all the way up to and on Election Day.

Officials say the city of Minneapolis has already received requests for 12,462 mail-in ballots.

Voters who applied should allow up to a week for their ballot to arrive.
