Newberry County Coroner’s Office has identified the driver who died in an 18-wheeler crash that occurred in the early morning hours on Sept. 21.

The collision occurred on SC Highway 121 near Interstate 26 in the Newberry area of Newberry County.

Coroner Laura Kneece has identified the driver as 28-year-old Tevis Odell Mobley of Prosperity, South Carolina.

An autopsy has been scheduled for this week.

Officials say the call was received by 911 Communications at approximately 4:37 am.

This incident remains under investigation of the Newberry County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
