Central golfer Payton Brust takes fourth at Watertown Invitational: Scoreboard

Pierre won the 13-team Watertown Invitational boys golf meet Tuesday at Cattail Crossing Golf Course.

The Governors finished with a team score of 298. Aberdeen Central was sixth with a 325, and Aberdeen Roncalli took ninth with a team score of 337.

Jake Olson of Watertown was the medalist, shooting a three-under-par 69. Central's top golfer was Peyton Brust, who finished fourth with a 74. Roncalli's top finisher was Sawyer Henrich. He carded an 83, good for 30th place.

The meet included eight of the nine schools that are slated to compete Saturday in the Eastern South Dakota Conference tournament at the Hillsview Golf Course in Pierre.

Roncalli, Sioux Valley and Milbank each play in the Region 1A tourney Monday at Moccasin Creek Country Club in Aberdeen.
