MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Milford police are on the scene of multiple commercial burglaries that occurred on Friday at liquor and smoke shops across Milford.

Investigators released the following list of businesses that have reported burglaries:

Surveillance video shows two suspects smashing their way through the front door of PuffCity. Once inside, one heads straight for an $800 pot vaporizer.

Isik Yildiz owns PuffCity and says this is the first problem he’s had in Milford.

“The law needs to be a lot more strict on these kids,” Yildiz said. “They have to be scared to go inside these places. These kids are taking people’s stuff, it’s free merchandise for them. Free money that’s going to go in their pocket basically.”

Officers stated that during the Fairway Liquor Mart burglary, at around 6:40 a.m., police were able to interrupt the theft. However, the suspects fled the scene in a stolen black Mercedes.

These investigations are ongoing and police assure the public that there is no threat to the community at this time.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to contact the Milford Police Detective Bureau at (203) 877-1465.
