With Water Street Tampa’s condos and apartments filling up, developers have brought on a couple of retail stores to help fill them.

Two new home furnishings shops, one for furniture and another for plants, will open in the $3.5 billion downtown Tampa mixed-use neighborhood next month, developers Strategic Property Partners announced this week.

Tampa furniture seller Dwell Home Market will open a nearly 3,000-square-foot pop-up store on the ground floor of Water Street’s Asher apartment building at 1050 Water St. The lease is for 18 months. It’s Dwell’s second store in Tampa, and it’ll include a bar and will host events and styling experts.

“We’re excited to open this first-of-its-kind location at Water Street Tampa,” Dwell owner Kristy Craig Anderson said in a statement, adding the store would be “challenging the status quo and reimagining the idea of ‘home.’”

Also opening next month: Yura Vine Brothers, which will sell plants and plant-based home decor on the ground floor of Cora, 1011 E Cumberland Ave. Brothers Samuel and Aaron Rodas will bring in tropical plants from Peru and offer biophilic design services for both residences and businesses.

“With many of our clients already living in the neighborhood, it was a perfect match,” Samuel Rodas said in a statement.
