Video: Bear Dumpster Diving in Claremont

Claremont, Los Angeles County, CA: A hungry bear made its way into a dumpster for dinner or a late night snack in the city of Claremont Thursday, Sept. 22, prompting an observer to call 911 around 10:00 p.m.

Claremont Police Department received the call from a senior citizen home on the 2000 block of North Towne Avenue and West Baseline Road that there was a huge bear in the dumpster to the rear off of West Baseline Road and Summer Avenue.

A Claremont police officer arrived and located the large bear inside a dumpster eating some leftover food.

After about 25 minutes, the bear decided he was full and left to go back up into the hills of North Claremont.
