Seven Arkansas Organizations were honored with Arkansas Governor Quality Awards during the 27th Annual Awards Celebration on Thursday at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock.
Gov. Asa Hutchison presented these awards to Black River Technical College of Pocahontas, Mainstream Technologies Inc. in Little Rock, Cromwell Architects Engineers of Little Rock, Delta Dental of Arkansas in Sherwood, L'Oréal USA in North Little Rock, PotlatchDeltic Corporation in Waldo and the PotlatchDeltic Corporation in Warren.
"The award process drives organizations toward quality principles." a news release said. "Organizations self-assess and carefully review the award-level requirements before deciding at which level to apply. Each level increases the requirements of the applicant to describe systematic processes and results. In addition to the award recognition, the greatest value for program participants is the in-depth evaluation and written feedback report citing strengths and areas for improvement."
Delta Dental of Arkansas, L'Oréal USA in North Little Rock, and the PotlatchDeltic Corporation in Waldo and Warren received the first award level, the Challenge Award.
Mainstream Technologies, Inc. received the third of four award levels, the Achievement Level.
"The goal of the program is to encourage Arkansas organizations to engage in continuous quality improvement, which leads to performance excellence." a news release said.
Cromwell Architects Engineers of Little Rock received the second level, the Commitment Award.
Black River Technical College took the highest level, the Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence, being the second in the state to be recognized at that level, as said in a news release.
Only 27 Arkansas organizations have ever received the highest level, the Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence.
