Dodgers Roster News: Brusdar Graterol Activated from Injured List

The Dodgers got some good news on Thursday as Brusdar Graterol was activated off the IL.

Graterol, who hasn’t pitched in September due to inflammation in his elbow, will have a few weeks to get up to speed to solidify his spot on the postseason roster.

On the year, Graterol is 2-3 with a 3.02 ERA in 41 appearances. He’s struck out 39 and walked 10 in 44.2 innings pitched. Graterol played a big role in the Dodgers’ 2020 World Series run and should have the opportunity to contribute again this season.

Graterol has a career postseason ERA of 2.04 in 17.2 innings. If he can get ramped up quickly, he could pitch in some pretty big spots come postseason time.

To make room for Graterol, the Dodgers optioned Justin Bruihl back to Triple-A.

In 24 appearances this season, Bruihl had a 3.80 ERA and 13 strikeouts. This could be the last time we see Bruihl for the Dodgers this season.

LA plays its final game against the Arizona Diamondbacks for the year (mercifully) tonight with Julio Urias facing Zac Gallen. First pitch is set for 7:10 PM PT on Dustin May bobblehead night.
