Northview ready for Terre Haute South

BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Northview Knights (4-1) will host the Terre Haute South Braves on Friday night in a matchup of two good teams. Kyle Cottee leads Northview against his uncle, South running back Josh Cottee. That’s not the only instance of familiarity between the two schools. Knights head coach Mark Raetz used to coach the Braves and says this should be a fun matchup.

“Yeah sometimes it’s kind of funny it’s kind of weird because I spent 10 years at Terre Haute South I mean I grew up in the program played for the Junior Braves way back in the day played at Terre Haute South coached there for 6 years you know so I’ve got a lot of friends over there and you know a lot of guys on that staff we all coached together so it’s always kind of weird but it’s fun to compete with each other and hopefully we have a good clean game tomorrow night,” Raetz said.

Added Kyle Cottee: “I mean yeah you know we’ve talked about it all summer you know we exchange words all the time but you know at the end of the day it’s all love and the best team is going to win out there so just give it your everything and the best team is going to win,” he said. Kickoff is set for 7 pm at Northview High School.
