RuPaul’s Drag Race UK spoilers follow.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has returned for season 4 with 12 new queens sashaying into the werk-room.

But sadly, one had to leave after failing to impress the judges with her looks on the first runway.

It was Geri Halliwell impersonator Just May who was asked to sashay away after lip-syncing against Dakota Schiffer to Mabel’s ‘Let Them Know’.

The premiere episode saw RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Graham Norton joined by Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley as a guest judge.

The queens had to model two runway looks, including a 'Ru Are You' theme that expressed who they were in their drag.

Lumley said of Just May's look: "She hadn’t achieved glamour in her Ru Are Ya look. It was sweet but it wasn’t glamorous."

Speaking of her exit, Just May said: "It feels iconic to be first queen to leave Drag Race UK series 4 because just like Geri Halliwell, I made an early exit.

"I’ve learnt what I knew already… I’m a shit lip syncer! But, now I’m a Ru Girl. The world is my oyster."

Speaking after her elimination, Just May said: "It was short and sweet but I loved every moment of it. I’ve always been a big fan of the show so to be a part of myself was an incredible experience!

"It was a shame to go home first but everyone remembers the first eliminated queen!"

Sharing advice for future contestants, she added: "Pick an obscure pop star from your childhood and emulate everything what they do!

"I love being able to express my love of the Spice Girls through my art of drag and I think it’s really important to incorporate something you’re passionate about into what you do, whatever that may be.

"I hope I made Geri proud!"

RuPaul's Drag UK series 4 begins on September 22 on BBC Three and iPlayer and streams on WOW Presents Plus in the US.
