Driver unharmed after Rockland County car fire

The driver of a car that caught on fire in Rockland County Thursday managed to escape unharmed, police say.

The driver of a car that caught on fire in Rockland County Thursday managed to escape unharmed, police say.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. on the southbound side of Route 9W in the Jones Point Area in Rockland County. 
Stony Point police say the man was driving his Toyota Prius and smelled smoke. 
He pulled over, but his car was already on fire. 
The driver was able to safely get out of the car as firefighters put the fire out.
