If you’re looking forward to skating at Thompson’s Point rink, you’ll have to wait till next year.Thompson’s Point announced rink operations will be suspended this upcoming winter season to tackle a few projects on their list.The venue said they will be starting development at The Depot Pavilion. Construction at the pavilion will mean a year-round food and beverage outlet as well as site enhancements and a seasonal dock with access to the Fore River.Thompson’s Point adds upgrades to the rink infrastructure are also to come.“We at Thompson’s Point have had these initiatives included in our master development plan for years, and are excited to get them underway,” The venue said in a statement.
