Chaka Zulu, Ludacris' manager, shot a man outside his restaurant.

However, new security footage acquired by TMZ reveals a different side to the story which proves Zulu was telling the truth.

Two and a half months after a 23-year-old man was killed in a triple shooting in Buckhead, authorities said Zulu had been charged with murder.

According to the video, the longstanding manager is pummeled by a group of guys before being fired, which leads to a self-defense dispute.

The footage was obtained by the publication from the night of June 26 outside Apt4B, Chaka Zulu's restaurant.

The video then shows Zulu, who was earlier chatting to a buddy in the parking lot, making his way back into his business and getting into an argument with Tre'Mon Robinson, one of the people who was instructed to leave the premises.

According to TMZ, a guy named Corey Crawford was seen grabbing something from a car during the dispute; a source close to the case told the site that Zulu's legal team believes Crawford was looking for a gun.

Robinson then indicates for his friends to come over and then chest-bumps Zulu, sparking the mayhem and gunfire.

Zulu, actual name Ahmed Chaka Zulu Obafemi, grabs Robinson, but Crawford and Benton intervene and begin punching the manager. The restauranteur's female assistant attempted to aid him at one point, but Robinson hit her in the face and slammed her to the ground.

Crawford then ducks for shelter behind two automobiles, and bullets are fired.

Chaka Zulu appeared to be the first to fire, striking Benton; a cloud of smoke could be seen coming from his gun.

Another puff of smoke rose from Crawford's cannon, which looked to be firing multiple bullets at Zulu, one of which struck the manager in the back.

Benton was wounded in the chest but attempted to crawl away, however he died as a result of his injuries.
