Atlantic City Restaurant Week Kicks Off With First Serve’ Luncheon to Honor First Responders

Atlantic City, NJ—September 21, 2022) — The NJ Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) was proud to host a First Serve First Responders Luncheon to kickoff this year’s 14th annual Atlantic City Restaurant Week on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. The event honored 22 local first responders with a luncheon at Amada, located at Ocean Casino Resort. These brave men and women who serve our community include firefighters, police officers, paramedics, EMS, EMTs, dispatchers, public workers, and beach patrol, each of whom have performed honorable services on a daily basis and throughout the years.

Honorable Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr., CRDA Executive Director Sean Pattwell, and Atlantic City Director of Emergency Management Scott Evans addressed the crowd and acknowledged the valuable work of all the first responders.

During the event, each first responder received a commemorative certificate for their service as well as Atlantic City Restaurant Week gift cards, a $25 Tanger Outlet gift card, and more items of appreciation.

The first responders honored included:  

  • Atlantic City Fire Department: Captain Alex Cadavid, Firefighters Derrick Williams, Ronald Laielli, and Rashon Brock
  • Exceptional EMS: EMT Crew Chiefs Ryan Cooper and John Thomas, EMTs Christopher Wilson and Robert Rebish
  • Atlantic City Police Department: Officers Adrian Nunez-Santos, Ivan Cruz, Rebecca Seabrook and Brandon Bower 
  • Atlantic City Beach Patrol: Lieutenants Michael Garry and Daniel Ludwig
  • Atlantic City Police Communications: Senior PST Dana Macon, Supervisory PST Walter Forth
  • AtlantiCare Paramedics: Morgan McColgan, Cristi Cottrell, Miguel Martinez-Perez and Nathan Miller
  • Atlantic City Public Works: Supervisor James Grams and Superintendent Ahmid Abdullah 

Now in its 14th year, Atlantic City Restaurant Week runs from Oct. 2-7, 2022, with more than 50 restaurants throughout the Atlantic City region participating, offering specially priced, multi-course lunch ($20.22) and dinner ($40.22) meals.
