As filming for Beverly Hills Cop is underway in California, the cast of the classic comedy sequel is expanding to include more OG characters.

Bronson Pinchot is among the franchise's original stars returning for chapter four, titled Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley after Eddie Murphy's street-smart Detroit detective.

Pinchot, who played sassy art gallery salesman Serge in Beverly Hills Cop and its 1994 threequel, will reprise the role in Netflix's follow-up (via Deadline).

The actor, more recently seen in Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, is in good company as Paul Reiser, Judge Reinhold and John Ashton have been previously announced to be returning to the Hills alongside protagonist Murphy, who also serves as producer.

Reiser played Axel's partner Jeffrey Friedman, while Reinhold and Ashton portrayed police officer Billy Rosewood and detective sergeant John Taggart.

Details of the film are being kept under wraps, though the premise promises more trouble coming Axel's way. The cop is back in Beverly Hills following the death of an old friend. There, he will investigate possible corruption in the force.

A brand-new Beverly Hills Cop movie has been in the making for quite some time. The original film spawned two sequels and a 2013 TV pilot focusing on Axel's son which was not picked up by CBS, though it led to a fourth movie.

Further delays in production are due to the film hopping from distributor to distributor, ultimately landing at Netflix in 2019.

Directed by Mark Molloy from a script penned by Will Beall, the film also counts original producer Jerry Bruckheimer among its ranks.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley doesn't have an official release date yet.
