IdeaBank celebrates 40th anniversary with block party

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - IdeaBank Marketing has called Hastings home for the last 40 years.

To celebrate their anniversary, they’re holding an 80′s themed block party Thursday night, in order to thank the community for their support.

“It all started in Hastings, and we have a lot of Hastings clients,” said President and Owner Sherma Jones. “We just feel like this is a great place for us. It’s small enough, yet big enough. It’s vibrant, we love being downtown, it’s been very good to us.”

The block party will have food trucks, a costume contest, and an 80′s cover band from Lincoln.

“People can bring their lawn chairs, enjoy the sounds of the 80′s, which were just the most fabulous time of music right? Just enjoy it and celebrate with us,” Jones said.

The party goes from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Hastings, located on Hastings Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets.
