WATERTOWN, S.D.–With summer coming to an end today, weather forecasters are taking a look back at what the severe weather season brought this year.
In South Dakota, it got started quickly, with a violent tornado sweeping through Castlewood on the night of May 12th. But as summer wore on, things quieted down….
Meteorologist Kelly Serr says the “peak season” for severe storms has now passed, but that doesn’t mean we’re entirely out of the woods when it comes to bad weather…
Autumn in the northern hemisphere officially begins at 8:03 tonight.
Winter begins December 21st.
