Anthony Davis is one of the best big men in the league when he's healthy. He is a dominant two-way force that is consistently impactful on both ends of the floor. This past season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis averaged 23.2 PPG, 9.9 RPG, 3.1 APG, and 2.3 BPG.

One of the things that have consistently held Anthony Davis back is his injury issues. It often seems as though Anthony Davis is unavailable for important games due to him having some sort of nagging injury. He has even been called "street clothes" by Charles Barkley due to his poor availability.

However, a recent Instagram post by page buckets revealed that this "street clothes" narrative may have gone too far. Over the last three seasons, Anthony Davis has played more games than Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Kawhi Leonard. None of those stars get the same criticism for being injury-prone.

Obviously, this graphic offers a different perspective on Anthony Davis. Though he may be a little injury prone, perhaps he shouldn't get as much criticism, as injuries are often out of his control.

Anthony Davis Will Be Key For The Los Angeles Lakers Next Season

The Los Angeles Lakers will definitely need Anthony Davis to stay healthy next season though, as he is key to the team's plans. In fact, a previous report suggested that coach Darvin Ham will run his offense through Anthony Davis, with LeBron James agreeing to that plan.

Furthermore, the first-year head coach said one wrinkle he will implement and stick with is having the offense run through Anthony Davis, and James concurred, sources said. The team has been encouraged with Davis’ offseason progression and believe he’ll be in optimum shape to avoid serious injuries and carry a heavier load.

There is no doubt that this is a good course of action for the Los Angeles Lakers. That will lessen the load on LeBron James and keep him ready for the playoffs, while Anthony Davis will get the opportunity to transition into being the face of the Los Angeles Lakers franchise.

Hopefully, we do see Anthony Davis have a good year and play a lot of games for the Los Angeles Lakers. They are clearly a much better team when he's on the court, and perhaps we'll see him dominate next year as he has done in the past.
