BAY CITY, Mich. — United Way of Bay County hosted the first annual longest table event in downtown Bay City Wednesday afternoon.
Members of the community were welcomed to dine and commune with each other at the longest table around.
Every guest were treated to food, live entertainment, and painting a portion of the table set up to add their own touch to it.
Heather Gallegos, campaign coach of United Way of Bay County, and Nicole Luzzak, CEO of United Way of Bay County, said that this was a way to bring awareness to community needs and a platform for everyone to speak their voice on what is needed.
"There's a lot of needs in our community, so this is a great way to bring everyone together and talk about those needs, to explain how there's different ways to give back," said Gallegos.
"So it takes all of our community coming together to really make an impact and to make long-lasting change happen," said Luzzak.
With the success of their first ever longest table event, United Way of Bay County hope to continue on as an annual tradition with more table for everyone to have a seat.
