HALF MILLION DOLLARS. A SUSPECT IS BEHIND BARS NEARLY TEN MONTHS AFTER A SOUTHERN INDIANA GRANDMOTHER WAS KILLED. BRADY PARRISH IS CHARGED WITH THE MURDER OF LISA BRANUM, THE 58 YEAR OLD WAS FOUND BY HER SON LAST NOVEMBER AT HER HOUSE IN SEYMOUR. A 25-year-old man was arrested 10 months after a Seymour grandmother was found shot and killed.The Jackson County Sheriff's Office arrested 25-year-old Brady Parrish in connection to Lisha Branum's murder.Justin Branum was Lisha Branum's only child and said they were inseparable. On Nov. 10, while picking up his daughter at his mom's house on West County Road 1050 North, his life changed. "I shut my vehicle off, I got out and my kid opens the door and she says 'Daddy, Mamaw is dead' and I'm like what are you talking about? I didn't understand and then I walked in and I seen it, I seen my mom lying there," Branum said.For the past ten months, he's been looking for answers. On Wednesday, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office said Parrish was arrested and charged with murder. "Had my mom been murdered by a complete stranger, someone I didn't know from the next person running around here or there or whatever, it would be heartbreaking, very heartbreaking. But when it could possibly somebody that was like family, a totally different ballgame," Branum said.The five-page affidavit states on Nov. 8, two men picked up Parrish who was carrying a black duffle bag with a shotgun inside. The affidavit goes on to say that Parrish was dropped off at a driveway near where Lisha Branum lived and minutes later, the men said they heard two gunshots. "The worst part about this whole scenario that has happened is what it has done to my daughter because she was in that home at the time when it happened," Branum told WLKY.He father said his focus is remaining on his daughter and her wellbeing."Everyday I pick my child up I get asked, Dad – are we going to be okay? Yes, we'll be fine, kid. I miss Mamaw, Yes I do too, every day," Branum said.
