(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A far north suburban woman is facing felony charges after she’s accused of shoving a Lake County Sheriff Deputy multiple times.

40-year-old Jennifer Beese of Spring Grove has been charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer as well as resisting a peace officer.

According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were responding to a noise complaint at around 12:30 a.m. last Thursday (Sept. 15) in Unincorporated Antioch- 23000 block of West Lake Shore Drive- when they found Beese. Lake County sheriffs said Beese was sitting in the front passenger seat of a Chevrolet pickup truck, with her leg extended, and her foot pressed on the steering wheel’s car horn. When deputies questioned as to why she was blasting the car horn, Beese said it was because she needed her car keys. Deputies said she appeared under the influence of alcohol and they offered to drive Beese home.

Beese responded hostilely, deputies said, getting out of the truck and yelling at them. She approached a deputy and pushed him, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said. In response, the deputy said that he warned Breese to not touch him again, but he ignored the request and shoved him. It was then Breese was told she was under arrest, authorities said.

Deputies said Beese resisted arrest and attempted to flee from the arresting deputy.

Beese is being held in the Lake County Jail on a $25,000 bond. Her next court appearance will be Oct. 11.
